First String, formerly known as Face-N-Space, traces its roots back to 1999 when it was founded by Mark Cowan in his garage. Mark, a passionate art teacher at Grand Valley High School, embarked on this entrepreneurial journey as a means to supplement his income. What started as a side hustle soon blossomed into a full-fledged business within just one year.

In 2010, recognizing the need for expansion, the business transitioned from its original location in Parachute, CO to the thriving community of Grand Junction, CO. Along with the move came a rebranding, and Face-N-Space became First String, reflecting our commitment to quality and innovation in everything we do.

Today, First String continues to thrive, serving our valued customers with top-notch products and exceptional service. From our origins in a garage to our current presence in Grand Junction, we remain steadfast in our mission to deliver excellence in every aspect of our business.
